SkillsToPivot's editorial content is controlled entirely by our editorial team. No advertiser, affiliate partner, course provider, or third party has editorial control over our content, ratings, or recommendations.

Specifically:

• Course providers cannot pay to be included in, excluded from, or ranked higher in our reviews or comparison pages.
• Affiliate commission rates do not influence which certificates we review or how we rate them.
• We do not accept sponsored content disguised as editorial reviews. If we ever publish clearly labelled sponsored content, it will be prominently disclosed.
• Platform representatives may contact us with factual corrections to our content, but cannot request changes to editorial opinions, scores, or framing.

2. Accuracy Standards

We are committed to factual accuracy in everything we publish. Our standards:

• Salary data: All salary ranges are based on publicly available data from sources including the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, platform-published outcome surveys, and job posting aggregates. We describe them as editorial benchmarks, not guarantees.
• Curriculum information: Course content descriptions are derived from official provider syllabuses at the time of publication. We note when curricula may have changed since our last review.
• Pricing: Prices are verified at time of publication. Course pricing changes frequently — we recommend verifying current pricing directly with providers before enrolling.
• Employer partnerships: Claims about employer hiring partnerships are verified against publicly available partner lists where possible. We do not guarantee that listed employers are actively hiring from these programs at any given time.

3. Corrections Policy

We are committed to correcting factual errors promptly. If you believe any content on SkillsToPivot contains an error:

1. Contact us via our contact page with the specific page URL, the error you've identified, and any supporting evidence.
2. Our editorial team will review the claim within 5 business days.
3. If the error is confirmed, we will correct the content and note the correction at the bottom of the relevant page.
4. We will not remove accurate but unflattering content about a certificate or platform at the request of the provider.

4. Affiliate Relationships & Conflicts of Interest

SkillsToPivot earns revenue primarily through affiliate commissions — when readers click our links and enroll in courses, we may earn a fee from the platform. This is disclosed on every page that contains affiliate links and in detail on our Affiliate Disclosure page.

Our conflict-of-interest policy:

• Editorial decisions are made before, not after, affiliate arrangements. We do not seek affiliate relationships for programs we would not otherwise recommend.
• We actively review and recommend programs we do not have affiliate relationships with, including free programs, when they are the best option for a given situation.
• Our editorial team is not compensated based on affiliate revenue generated by specific reviews — this removes the incentive to rate things higher to increase clicks.

5. Review Selection

We prioritise reviewing certificates that are:

• Widely discussed by career changers in our target audience
• Frequently searched for by people considering a career change
• From established, accredited providers with verifiable outcomes data
• Relevant to the career paths most accessible through online learning

We do not review every certificate that exists. Absence from our site does not constitute a negative recommendation — it typically reflects that we haven't yet had capacity to review it against our methodology.

6. Use of AI Tools

Like many publishing organisations, our team uses AI writing assistance tools as part of our workflow. Our policy:

• All AI-assisted content is reviewed, fact-checked, and edited by a human editor before publication.
• Scores, recommendations, and editorial judgements are made by our human editorial team — not generated by AI.
• Salary data, curriculum analysis, and outcome claims are sourced and verified by humans against primary sources.
• We do not publish AI-generated content without human review and editorial oversight.

7. Community Standards

SkillsToPivot does not currently operate a comments section or user-generated review system. If we introduce these features in future, we will publish moderation standards at that time.
