HLTAID011 Provide First Aid is the nationally recognised, mandatory first aid qualification required by the large majority of Australian aged care, disability support (NDIS) and community services employers. It is a one-day, face-to-face course available nationally through St John Ambulance, Red Cross and hundreds of registered training organisations.

Who This Is For

Aged care workers, NDIS support workers, teachers, fitness professionals and anyone entering a caring or community-facing role. Frequently required before your first shift.

What You Will Learn

CPR, management of medical emergencies (choking, anaphylaxis, seizures, bleeding), and legal and workplace responsibilities in providing first aid.

Cost and Time

Approximately $120–$180 AUD. One day, face-to-face. Valid for three years.
