Site Supervisors earn $95,000–$130,000 AUD. Registered Builders running their own business have substantial, often uncapped earning potential once established, commonly reaching $150,000–$250,000+ depending on project volume and scale. Residential and commercial building companies, and self-employment as a registered builder, are the primary pathways.
Government-subsidised places available in some states depending on eligibility. Private RTO/TAFE fees range $4,000–$10,000 without subsidy. Typically 18–24 months, usually undertaken while already working in the construction industry. Builder licensing/registration is a separate process on top of this qualification and requirements vary significantly by state — confirm with your state's building licensing authority.
